About Me

Hello! I’m Esmé Ablaza, a student at Barnard College of Columbia University. I am a Senior Editor of The Blue and White, Columbia’s undergraduate features magazine. I love to hike, listen to podcasts and make zines in my spare time.

At the moment, I am interested in majoring in Political Science and Computer Science. I hope that my future career will allow me to remain engaged in digital storytelling in some capacity, whether that means writing investigative features, developing multimedia tools, or creating another podcast series.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. In high school, I spent much of my time working for campus publications. I edited the features magazine, Verde, and coordinated the production of audio content for KPLY Paly Radio, the radio station I helped start. I also enjoyed DJ’ing at KZSU Stanford 90.1 FM.

Thank you for taking the time to peruse my journalism portfolio. If you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to reach out via the contact form.
